We assist founders based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Doha, Kuwait City, Muscat, Manama, as well as across India and Sri Lanka. Our role is to convert the route rules into a clear, executable plan, then coordinate the file with the right authorised professionals.
The objective is not speed alone — it is correctness, the right route for your business, and a file that holds up.
The UAE entrepreneur Golden Residence has three official routes, and you satisfy any one of them. Route one is owning or partnering in a registered SME or pilot project in a sector accredited by the Ministry of Economy, with annual revenue of not less than AED 1 million. Route two is approval from an accredited business incubator, the Ministry of Economy, or competent local authorities to establish your proposed activity. Route three is having founded a previous pilot project sold for a total value of not less than AED 7 million, subject to Ministry or authority approval.
Most founders we assess fit the incubator-approval route, where project value is documented — commonly from AED 500,000 — with a certified UAE auditor letter and an innovation letter from a competent authority or approved incubator. The honest read is that the route you qualify under shapes everything else: the documents, the timeline, and which government-authorised agent handles your submission. Find out which route fits — free assessment.
The honest note. The AED 500,000 figure is a documentation threshold — a certified auditor letter plus an incubator or authority innovation letter — not a single guaranteed eligibility rule. The MOET conditions page foregrounds the AED 1M-revenue SME route and the AED 7M prior-exit route instead. Treat project value as a ladder of routes, not a flat promise. Approval is discretionary and rests with the incubator, Ministry or local authority — no outcome can be guaranteed, and every figure on this page carries its as-of date because UAE settings can change within a year.
It is a staged process, not an instant long-term residence. You typically begin on a 6-month multi-entry business-setup visa, renewable once for a further 6 months, which lets you enter the UAE and establish the business on the ground. Once the company and the eligibility evidence are in place, you convert to the 5-year Golden Residence for entrepreneurs.
The practical point: the entry visa is the working phase where the file is built, and the Golden Residence is the outcome of a complete, accredited file. We sequence those two phases so nothing stalls between them — the most common mistake is treating the entry visa as the finish line. Message us on WhatsApp.
Cosmos coordinates eligibility, documentation and case management for your UAE entrepreneur file. The UAE is outside our licensed jurisdictions, so applications are prepared and submitted through government-authorised agents and regulated legal practitioners in our network — Cosmos holds no CICC, MARA or IAA mandate over UAE matters, and we do not represent that any of those bodies cover the UAE.
In practice that means we run the route analysis, build a decision-ready document set, and keep the file moving across the right authorised professionals, ICP (icp.gov.ae) federally or GDRFA (gdrfad.gov.ae) for Dubai. You apply through UAE Pass on those official channels; we make sure the evidence behind each step is correct first.
The entrepreneur Golden Residence lets the holder sponsor a defined group: business partners, up to three executive directors, and the spouse and children. This is one reason founders value the entrepreneur category over short-term routes — the residence is built to carry a founding team and a family, not just one applicant.
For Indian founders, note that this is a UAE residence, not citizenship. It does not trigger Indian citizenship renunciation, OCI loss, or the citizenship-surrender concerns that apply to investment-citizenship programs. Instead, NRI tax-residency and FEMA/LRS rules apply when you remit capital from India to fund the venture.
All criteria are set by the relevant UAE authorities and are subject to change.
This is a UAE residence program, not citizenship. It does not require you to renounce Indian citizenship, surrender your Indian passport, or lose OCI — those concerns apply to investment-citizenship programs, not to this residence. What does apply is NRI tax-residency status and the RBI Liberalised Remittance Scheme when you fund the venture from India: remittances are currently capped at USD 250,000 per person per financial year (as of June 2026), subject to your bank's compliance checks.
This is general information, not financial, tax, or legal advice. Remittances are governed by RBI regulations under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme and your bank's compliance requirements — consult a qualified chartered accountant or your authorised dealer bank before moving funds.

The entrepreneur Golden Residence is valid for 5 years and is renewable for a further 5 years if the business and eligibility standards continue to be met, according to u.ae and the Ministry of Economy & Tourism. Before that, a 6-month business-setup entry visa (renewable once) lets you establish the company.
No. The AED 500,000 figure is a documentation threshold — a certified UAE auditor letter plus an innovation letter from a competent authority or approved incubator. The MOET conditions page instead foregrounds the AED 1 million annual-revenue SME route and the AED 7 million prior-exit route. Treat project value as a range of routes, not a single promise.
Yes. Founders based in the GCC, India or Sri Lanka commonly start with the business-setup entry visa to come in and establish the company, then convert to the 5-year residence. Applications run through ICP (federal) or GDRFA (Dubai) smart services under UAE Pass; we coordinate the file with government-authorised agents.
The entrepreneur can sponsor business partners, up to three executive directors, and the spouse and children. Comprehensive health insurance covering the applicant and family members is required at the time of applying.
No. A UAE residence visa is not citizenship, so it does not trigger Indian renunciation or OCI loss. NRI tax-residency and the RBI Liberalised Remittance Scheme (currently USD 250,000 per person per financial year, as of June 2026) apply when you remit capital from India to fund the venture. This is general information, not tax or legal advice.
