Highly Skilled Migrant (Kennismigrant)
For non-EU professionals with a job offer from an IND-recognised sponsor company. Salary threshold: EUR 46,107/year gross for applicants 30 and over; EUR 33,716 for those under 30; EUR 25,223 for PhD/postdoc researchers (2024 rates). No separate work permit required — the residence permit covers both living and working.
Orientation Year for Graduates
For recent graduates from the world's top 200 universities (within 3 years of graduation). Allows 1 year to live and work in the Netherlands without needing a job offer first. Designed to transition graduates into the Highly Skilled Migrant route.
EU Blue Card
Netherlands also processes EU Blue Cards for highly qualified professionals with qualifying salary offers. The Blue Card offers freedom of movement across the EU after 18 months.
