Shorter categories also exist under the agreement \u2014 for example, contractual service providers and independent professionals for up to 12 months, and business visitors for up to 90 days in a 12-month period.<\/p>\n<h2>A few important things to understand<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It is a quota, not a guarantee.<\/strong> The 5,000 figure is the number of visas that can be held at any one time, not an automatic approval.
